After a somewhat troubled launch the new ETC Source 4WRD retro-fit is now shipping. The original design had issues with thermal management which meant that some units were failing quickly. This led to ETC halting all orders and going back to the drawing board.
Now, after several months or redesign, manufacture and testing work the new Source 4WRD has passed ETC’s quality control. The new upgrade is showing no signs of the previous heat build-ups that were the cause of failures in the first batch of units. ETC has already started to swap out and replace the units of people who own version one and you should be able to order them again soon.
