ETC have introduced the next generation of SmartBar: the SmartBar 2. These small, portable dimmers come in two lengths with four or six 2.3kW dimmers with magnetic breakers and have an all new electronic design. Each version comes with additional hot power out and is controlled by DMX512 with Remote Device Management (RDM) support.
SmartBar 2 is ideal for small and budget sensitive venues as well as touring productions: indeed, anywhere that you need to distribute your dimmers around your venue. The user interface now matches SmartPack dimmers is multilingual – it speaks English, German, French and Spanish.
SmartBar 2 provides an integrated dimming and luminaire mounting solution for compact low-power applications. Depending on size, many SmartBars can be connected to a standard power outlet for “anywhere dimming”.
SmartBar 2 is fully digital, featuring the same user-friendly interface and programming set as the ETC SmartPack dimming range. It is available with either CEE 16A or UK 15A as well as dual Schuko or NF (French) connectors. The four channel, 150cm bar is typically used as a T-bar with wind-up stands, whereas the six channel, 220cm bar is generally used with hook clamps in truss and on pipes in the theatre.
