CPL Invests in Latest Panasonic Projector technology

Thursday, March 3rd, 2011 By Lesley Leave a Comment

Birmingham and Bristol, UK based AV rental specialist Central Presentations Limited (CPL) has boosted its stock of video projectors with the addition of the latest in lightweight, medium range, high definition machines from Panasonic – the PT DZ110 HD.

This is to meet the continuing demand for a highly portable, expediently sized HD (1920 x 1200) resolution projector around the 10-12,000 Lumen mark for the wide variety of shows, events and presentations that CPL services as a rental partner. These machines are the perfect weight and dimensions for 200-300 capacity events, and for any location particularly those with low ceiling heights or that are squeezed for space!

Four new projectors have joined the CPL fleet initially, and like all successful rental items, have yet to see the warehouse shelves!

“Panasonic is a premium brand and the robust build and quality engineering has made it a firm favourite for rental and staging sectors in the last couple of years,” explains CPL’s branch manager Richard Burrow, adding that they can also take advantage of the healthy cross rental and dry hire market, and these are now frequently appearing on spec sheets.

CPL’s PT DZ110s were purchased together with a full range of proprietary lenses, including the very handy short throw 0.9-1.1:1 lens. They are added to CPLs existing inventory of Sanyo 2500, 4000 and 6500 Lumen non HD projectors and their Barco FLM HD20s at the top end of the scale. With projection a key medium on virtually all events, whatever the size and complexity, CPL’s intention is to offer as wide as possible a choice of the latest technology to its clients. Further purchases to widen the Panasonic range stock are planned for the near future.

The PT DZ110s are extremely quiet, so ideal for corporate presentations and low noise environments. They are also logical and easy to use – almost plug-and-play – which opens another raft of possibilities as they can be set up and lined up by those with some basic AV knowledge without the need for a specialist engineer.

They can also be easily stacked – for producing overlaid images – using a frame system.

Another reason for choosing Panasonic, elucidates Burrow, is the brilliant back up and support from the UK based service centre in Cardiff plus the company’s reputation for listening to client feedback, taking it onboard and incorporating requests and suggestions from those in the rental market ‘front line’ into future product R’n’D.

The purchase also follows hot on the heels of CPL’s recent investment in the latest Sony HXC-100 HD/SD studio spec cameras, reflecting a buoyant start to 2011.
