In a very few days the PLASA show will take place in London. Clay Paky is one of the main Sponsors of the event and their participation to this important international exhibition has been prepared with greatest attention to details. Here is a list of the different activities that have been planned.
1. Clay Paky Stand
The Clay Paky main stand (1-E36 as usual), is facing the “main square” in the very heart of the exhibition floor, where the “Innovation Gallery” is placed. This year the stand will be managed by Ambersphere Solutions, the exclusive distributor in the UK for the Clay Paky and MA Lighting ranges of products. The stand will include a display of their latest news (see details hereunder) and a comfortable meeting area with bar.
2. Clay Paky Demo Room
Located on the back of our main stand, the demo-area provides the perfect environment for an effective presentation of our products. An amazing lighting rig features a comprehensive array of their most successful fixtures. Access to this area is open to all visitors that, every hour, will be able to attend a 20 minutes product presentation. In the time between the scheduled demos staff will be available for Questions & Answers and for in depth individual presentations.
3. Win a Sharpy that made history
Clay Paky has donated to PLASA one of the six “Union Jack” Sharpy fixtures that have been used for the Jubilee Concert of Queen Elisabeth II. All pre-registered PLASA visitors will enter a free prize draw to win this unique fixture, that carries the original signature of LD Durham Marenghi The unit will be on display at the main entrance of the exhibition.
4. The Knight of Illumination Awards (KOI)
On Sunday 9th of September the KOI event will be celebrated at the Battersea Evolution venue, with 400 and more industry guests. Organised by the ALD, STLD and Clay Paky and now in its fifth year, the Knight of Illumination Awards provides public recognition for outstanding achievements in Lighting Design by lighting designers working on productions in the UK. Check the website for the list of the 2012 award nominees (www.knight-of-illumination.com).
5. Last but not least……. Fantastic new products!
The A.LEDA range of LED-based fixtures will be on display at PLASA for the first time in the UK, after the design fine-tuning based on the customers feed-back received at and after the ProLight & Sound exhibition. The range consists of A.Leda Wash K5 (150W, 3,500 lm, 12° beam angle), A.Leda Wash K10 (350W, 9,000 lm, 14°-70° linear zoom) and A.Leda Wash K20 (600W, 18,000 lm, 14°-70° linear zoom). All models feature a library of pre-set graphic effects customizable by the operator, electronic linear dimmer, stop/strobe effect and a dedicated channel for colour temperature setting. Each LED color can be dynamically and individually controlled.
The Alpha Profile 800 ST is the most modern moving beam shaper in existence today for use in theatres and studios. Clay Paky used highly sophisticated micro-mechanics to obtain a compact, light, silent unit with an extremely bright light and a zoom capable of producing an extraordinarily sharp, perfectly uniform beam.
Exclusive Features: miniaturized four-blade framing system, 11°-55° Linear Zoom with additional narrow 7,6° angle; exclusive Autofocus system; Dyna-Cue-Creator function; 6000 K light beam; top-of-the-class operating silence (42 dBA).
GlowUp Strip 100 is a LED bar (batten) for professional stage lighting, with combined battery/mains power supply and combined cable/wireless control. 10 powerful RGB-W multi-chip LEDs are arranged in a line inside a 100 cm linear aluminium housing suitable for outdoors use (IP65). The fixture creates a curtain of brightly colored light, with a beam angle adjustable from 14° to 70°. The original “white power saving” function helps optimize power consumption.
