I have made this account to try and advertise Technical Theatre Strand at The BRIT School to any young up coming theatre entheusiasts. Technical Theatre at BRIT offers a massive opportunity to people between the ages of 16 and 18 to learn about all aspects of the backstage world of theatre. You can study and learn about Lighting, Sound, Stage Management, Set Design and Costume. At The BRIT School we have a 324 seating theatre called The Obie. In this area we design and build shows for all areas of the performing world including Theatre, Musical Theatre, Dance and Music. We have great Technical facilities which include 1 ETC Eos Lighting Desk, 3 ETC Ion Lighting Desks, 4 Mac 250 Entours, 4 Tourwash 250's, 1 Robe 250 Colour Wash and a stock of roughly 200 Generic lights including Fresnels, Source 4's, Parnels, Parcans, ADB Prophiles and many more. In the sound department we have a Midas Pro 6 Sound Desk, a Full Range Function 1 sound system, a Full Range DnB Sound system and a wide variety of other speakers including Tannoys and JBLs. We also have an electrical flying system which includes 36 point hoists divided into 6 tracks for use as a whole bar or individually. We have a large workshop which is used to build our sets in, which includes a gantry for our designers to work on. We have a stage management office which is equipped with 4 computers, although alot of the students work off their laptops connected to the BRIT wireless network. We also have a large supply of Props and Furniture which is stored in seperate rooms.
